During its 200-year history, the Omsk Cadet Military Corps has been in 22 statuses and hypostases, having gone from the Army Cossack School, the Siberian gymnasium, the infantry school to the Higher Military School. This is the first cadet corps of Russia outside Moscow and St. Petersburg, and in 2009 it was recognized as the best.

Today there is a competition for admission to this school – 5 people per place, and this indicates a high degree of demand for such military institutions for boys, where they go from «mother's sons» to real defenders of his Homeland, future worthy citizens of the country.

The film reflects the first days and months of life of small cadets and the already familiar ordinary everyday life of their elders. This is a detailed story about everything that happens within the walls of the Corps: about the first exercises, about the fit of the form to the first-grader cadet, about night fears and the school program, as well as about the first parachute jump, about real male friendship and future plans.
